According to reports, Shedeur Sanders made an effort to avoid being selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the NFL 2025 draft.
The Ravens had plans to take the former leading seafood of the Colorado Buffaloes with the 141 of the Draft, ESPN reported on Sunday. However, Sanders, according to the reports, announced that he did not want to get caught behind the twice MVP of the NFL Lamar Jackson in the depth table.

Sanders sought to be chosen by a team in which he would have the opportunity to play. The Ravens ended up taking the offensive liner Carson Vinson and Sanders went to the Cleveland Browns some selections later.
He would have been in a battle with Cooper Rush and Devin Leary for support work. Rush joined the Ravens of the Dallas Cowboys in the low season. Leary was signed with a futures contract in January, but did not reach the final list.

Sanders worked well enough for the Browns to keep it. They changed Kenny Pickett to Las Vegas Raiders and renounced Tyler Huntley.
