For the first time since 2014, the Kansas City Chiefs have 0-2 to start a NFL season after falling to the Philadelphia Eagles 20-17 in a rematch Lix of the Super Bowl at the Arrowhead stadium on Sunday.
It is also the first time in his career that Patrick Mahomes has not been able to win in the first two games of a season. Including the defeat of the Super Bowl against Philadelphia, Mohamses is on a three -game losing streak for the first time in his career.
These are not the numbers that the Chiefs wanted to open the new season, but the Eagles are rolling with a 2-0 start in 2025 thanks to a defense that was delivered along the way.

With the low chiefs for three in the last quarter, Mohamses, who struggled to find consistency before in the game, faced the second and goal of the 6 -yard line of the Eagles.

Looking for Travis Kelce in the goal line in a play that the duo had run innumerable times, Mohamses fired a pass that Kelce could not secure. The ball bounced in Kelce’s hands towards those of Mukuba, who returned it 41 yards near the center of the field.
The Eagles quickly capitalized, marching 59 yards before Jalen Hurts scored in a quarterback to extend the advantage to 20-10.
That cushion proved to be vital. Mohomes responded with a 49 yard tauchdown strike to Tyquan Thornton, reducing the deficit to three. But Philadelphia recovered the side kick that followed, with AJ Brown ensuring the ball to establish the final trip of the Eagles.

Saquon Barkley, who took 228 yards and a touchdown, picked up the yardage necessary to allow the wounds to kneel the clock. Hurts finished 15 of 22 for 101 yards, driving the game while the defense stole the attention center.
Mohomes had 16 of 29 for 187 yards with a Touchdown and led the Chiefs to hurry with 66 yards and another score in seven hauling.
It was not the shooting that fans saw in February at the Superdome, but once again, the Eagles proved to be the upper team.

Next, the Chiefs travel to the Metlife stadium to face the New York giants, which are also 0-2 to start the season.
