Islamabad:
Pakistan presented on Sunday a large set of proposals at the Preparatory Ministerial Meeting of the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit in Doha, asking for the responsibility of Israel, the suspension of its UN membership and the formation of an Arab-Islamic working group to counteract what it described as the “rebel mentality” of Tel Aviv “.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ishaq Dar, described a seven -point response to Israeli air attacks in Qatar, urging Muslim states to join behind concrete measures.
The proposals included: responsible for Israel for war crimes; creation of a joint Arab-Islamic working group to deter a greater aggression; pursue the suspension of the members of the UN of Israel; Implementation of punitive measures by the Member States; demanding through the UN Security Council a high immediate and permanent fire along with the exchanges of prisoners; ensure humanitarian access without restrictions in Gaza; and relive a genuine political process for a solution of two states.
“Israel must be responsible for war crimes and crimes against humanity. It should not be allowed to leave with it by attacking Islamic countries and kill people with impunity,” he said in his speech, condemning the strike “illegal and not caused” in Qatar as a flagrant violation of the International Law and the UN Letter.
The Foreign Minister said that attacking Qatar was not only an assault on a sovereign state, but also an attack on diplomacy and mediation itself, given Doha’s central role in facilitating high -fire efforts together with Egypt and the United States.
He stressed that Pakistan, as a non -permanent member of the UN Security Council (CSNU), had already helped convene an emergency session of the CSNU on the matter and continue working with the OIC and Arab partners to boost application measures, including the deployment of an international protection force for Gaza.
Dar warned that repeated Israel’s strikes throughout the region reflected a “dangerous trend” that threatened international peace and security. “No state is safe from such a deranged entity that challenges all the precepts of civilized behavior,” he said.
Reaffirming Islamabad’s solidarity with Doha, said that Pakistan supported Qatar’s inalienable right to defend his sovereignty and the security of his people.
