A city of New Jersey who faced criticism for flying an American flag in full staff despite the order of President Donald Trump to reduce the flags in government buildings in the middle of the staff in honor of Charlie Kirk defended his decision on Monday.
New York Jets Great Mangold Mangold may have been the strongest critic while criticizing Madison with a publication on the social networks that the flag showed in full staff.

However, Madison’s officials wrote in a Facebook post that was following the state directive.
“During the weekend, we received questions about the decrease in the US flag in the municipality. Madison’s policy is to follow the state of the daily flag of the New Jersey state,” the city said in a publication with a link to the state of the New Jersey flag. “During the weekend, the state was ‘full personal’.
“Madison’s district condemns all forms of political violence and rejects hatred in every way. We remain committed to gathering people around our shared values and ideals.”
Mangold, seven times Center Pro Bowl and the two-time All-Pro selection, was among the annoying with the city’s decision.

“I am disgusted and saddened by my city (Madison) and my state (New Jersey),” he wrote in X. “This is wrong at many levels … when an American husband and father were killed by expressing their right to freedom of expression.”
Mangold labeled the governor of New Jersey, Phil Murphy, and the two candidates for governor who fight to happen to Murphy, state representative Mikie Sherrill and Jack Ciattarelli.
Officials in Bergen County, New Jersey, were also criticized for the same flag decision.
Trump’s proclamation to have the flags in the middle of the staff occurred after Kirk was killed on the Campus of the Universidad del Valle de Utah in OREM.
Since then, several memories and vigils have been held throughout the country to honor Kirk. Several NFL teams maintained moments of silence during Sunday’s games.
