Indiana’s fever stars Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham have been relegated to the cheerleaders after suffering injuries that end the season before the playoffs.

But they still made an effort to impact the playoff game of Atlanta’s dream fever on Tuesday night.

During the first quarter, Clark and Cunningham made a demonstrative gesture for officials, protesting that he must be called to a dream player to travel.

Later in the game, when officials called a trip in Atlanta, Clark was seen imitating the gesture again, playfully.

The fever won the game for even the series against sleep in a game per piece.

The two teams will play a winning rubber game throughout Thursday for the right to advance in the WNBA playoffs.

But the fever will have to do it without its two biggest stars, since they will not return this season.

Even so, the cameras are likely to be in the two stars on the sidelines often while the team is still playing.
