Lupita shared that her fight when she discovered that she had non -cancerous fibroids in her uterus, and the lack of research in the specific area made it difficult.
After opting for surgery for his painful condition instead of living with pain, when Lupita asked his doctors what he could do “to make sure they did not return,” the doctor replied saying: “There is nothing I can do, it’s just a matter of time until they grow again.”
“I was so stunned by the little my doctor could tell me about this condition,” he said, and added, “so that we only allow women to have pain, so that they normalize and accept is unacceptable to me.”
“So I wanted to play any role I could to make sure that generations that come after me do not, that they do not find the same type of casual ignorance.”
Mandy said: “I think since it became a mother, it is much easier for me to advocate in my name, my children and future generations.”
“It is so obvious to be able to use this crazy platform that a job that I love has given me,” he added.
