Gen v Season 2 has made its main video debut and, surprisingly, we have already learned just treatment about its main mystery.
First mocked in Gen v The initial trailer of season 2, the ODESSA project seems to play an important role in the last installment of the program and will potentially provide answers to some of our most important questions about The boys universe. And, with the first three episodes of season 2 now, we have discovered more than we probably expected about this secret experiment and its ties to aggravate V.
Complete spoilers follow immediately to Gen v Episodes of season 2 1 to 3.
Like the Supe-Melling virus that was created and tested in numerous students of the University of Godolkin (God U) in an underground center called The Woods, the Odessa project is a covert operation carried out in the bowels of the educational institution owned by Vought.
We are immediately given an indication that it is linked to the development of compound V, also known as the blue serum that gives superhuman skills to any person injected with it.
The first chapter of this season, entitled ‘New Year, New You’, opens with a flashback to 1967 and presents us with Dr. Thomas Godolkin. The founder of the university and the right man to Dr. Frederick Vought, that is, the inventor of compound V and founder of Vought International, Thomas Godolkin tries, and fails, to prevent his fellow scientists from self -acting a prototype version of the SUPE creation serum.
Long Short History: All die due to the various effects that serum has on them, while Godolkin apparently perishes from carbon monoxide poisoning after a fire explodes in the laboratory in which everyone is present.
Fast advance to the present and Gen vThe main protagonist Marie Moreau is fleeing after leaving the Adult Rehabilitation Center of Elmira after her imprisonment in Gen vThe end of season 1. Not long ago until the one traced by the Supe known as Dogknot to the Sordid Motel in which he hides. Fortunately for Marie, Annie Jane/Starlight, whom he was last seen fleeing to the unknown whereabouts in The boys End of season 4, arrives and saves Marie.
The way Annie found Marie is a question for another day, because Annie soon tells Marie that a voucht source told Annie that Vought is looking to restart development in the Odessa project. To find out if that is true, Annie convinces a Marie reluctant to register God or and, in the process, discover what the Odessa project is.
Coincidentally, Marie has her own ties. Gathering with their best friends Emma and Jordan in episode 2, also known as ‘Justice Never Forgets’, Marie fills them in the undercover experiment. Later, that episode, Emma, who joins polarity, the father of God’s student failed God U Andre Anderson, discovers a secret room in the wing of Thomas Godolkin in the University Library.
In the middle of the Nazi, KKK and other right -wing paraphernalia, Emma finds a file in the ODESSA project. Running on the campus, finds Marie and Jordan, and delivers the file to the first. Cue, a stunned Marie read him and learned that he was not only part of the ODESSA project, but was also the only survivor.
But wait, there is more. Episode 3, entitled ‘H is for Human’, Marie visits Aunt Pam, Marie’s dead mother who refused to see Marie for years. Remember, Marie accidentally killed her parents when her blood manipulation powers manifested during puberty.
Anyway, after an initially frozen meeting in Aunt Pam’s house, PAM begins to open Marie about what she knows about the ODESSA project. Essentially, Marie’s parents could not naturally conceive, nor could they resort to IVF treatment because she was too expensive. Voucht advance, which offered them a way of having a baby (that is, Marie) through their own IVF style treatment in God U.
That’s not all. Pam shows Marie some printed photographs of the day he was born, and who is standing there holding Marie as a newborn? Nothing less than Cipher, also known as the new director of the University and recently installed. It turns out that Cipher, which Pam calls “Doctor Gould,” helped deliver Marie.
That is … a lot for Marie, and, by Proxy, we as spectators, to assume, but the premiere of three episodes of one of the second season of the best prime videos is not the first time we meet the ODESSA project.
In The boys Episode 4 of Season 4, also known as in which Homelander makes an ultraviolent trip through the memory lane to the laboratory in which he grew up, you can see a reference to something called ‘Odessa’ on an adil of an ad.
At that time, the only thing we learned about Odessa was that it is a “high security project of the strictest trust”, and that anyone who has broken the non -dissemination agreement (NDA) on the secret project would be fired and sued by Vought.
Now that we know that the ODESSA project has been operating since the 1960s, it is plausible that Homelander, which was born in 1981, was his first success story. It is also possible that, given his own birth, Marie is the only time Voucht has recreated the process that Homelander created.
How much Gen v continues to withdraw the veil in the Odessa project and Marie’s participation, however, the things we learn in The boys‘The brothers program raises some interesting questions.
To begin with, is it a way for Vought to believe newborn humans with the compound V already interwoven in its genetic composition? Thanks to The boysWe know that the chemical can cause side effects. Injecting it into children, adolescents and even adults is also an invasive and incredibly painful procedure, so these two problems would be solved if Voucht finds a way of designing newborns with the compound V already locked in his DNA.
If Voucht wants to restart the Odessa project, does that mean that Homelander, the newly installed president of the Shadow of the United States, also wants to create an army of Supes from birth? Given that he has just been recruited as the new dean of God, Cipher supervises in secret the resumption of this investigation? Is Marie safe or, because she is the only other success story in addition to Homelander, a bunny of Indies could be used to try to recreate/improve the procedure? And what impact could all this have on The boys Season 5, also known as the final delivery of the original Amazon TV that will come out in 2026?
With a little luck, Gen v Season 2 will satisfy our need for answers in your next five episodes. With a week for the end (at the time of publication) until his fourth chapter lands in one of the best transmission services in the world, let me know about his theories of the Odessa project in the comments below.
