Strands is the last word game of the NYT after the tastes of Wordle, Spelling Bee and Connections, and is very fun. However, it can be difficult, so keep reading for my threads.
Do you want more words based on words? Then, look at my nyt connections today and Quordle Today pages for suggestions and answers for those games, and Marc Wordle Today’s page for the original viral word game.
Spoiler warning: Nyt Strands information today is below, so don’t read if you don’t want to know the answers.

NYT Strands Today (game #564) – The answers
The responses to today’s threads, game #564, are …
- MELODY
- SCALE
- CHORD
- THEORY
- RECITAL
- TECHNIQUE
- Spangram: Pianolessons
- My qualification: Hard
- My score: 1 track
The theme “perfect practice” could be applied to almost anything, so after finding half a dozen words not games, I decided to give a track.
The track they gave me, the melody, immediately made me think of music, as well as the scale I saw below. But it wasn’t until I saw piano and then lessons that the penny finally fell.
I automatically gravito at rare letters when I do a wire search, but somehow I was blind to the technique, seeing it for the last time. But then, one of the wonders of this game is the frequency with which the words hide in view and even without the turns and the reading from right to left, does not see them.
Yesterday Nyt Strands responses (Wednesday, September 17, game #563)
- BOLD
- SHY
- DON’T WORRY
- NOISY
- FLEXIBLE
- RIGID
- SPANGRAM: OPPSEITES STRACT
