Hello friends, this is John Loeffler, editor of US computing, here to bring them all the news and the reaction that I can bring to the Press Conference of Nvidia X Intel this afternoon. We also have some ideas from my colleagues in Techradar Pro with respect to the new X86 products of Data Center, which I will bring you shortly.
We are about to start, so be attentive to the latter as it happens.
Ok, then Jim Cramer on CNBC is asking for the commercial/market impact of this announcement. The CEO of Nvidia, Jensen Huang, mentions the Chiplet GPU RTX integrated in Intel Socs, which will be very competitive with the AMD APPOs found in thin and light game laptops, as well as Mini-PC and the game games.
Cramer follows a question about Intel’s Foundry services and if Nvidia will move to Intel from TSMC. Huang is not commitment, but given the amount of investment involved, Huang says that Nvidia will be an important Intel client in the future.
Take that as you want, but if Intel 18a is as good and viable as Intel states that it is, I cannot see how Nvidia will not get crack first in those nodes.
Another question about whether Nvidia will be inclined in the Intel foundry business. Both Huang and Intel Lip-Bu CEO so praise the foundry business of TSMC. But this announcement will remain focused on the data center and the integration of the customer CPU.
