Pakistan again pressed the United Nations Security Council to demand a high immediate, unconditional and permanent fire in Gaza on Friday.
Addressing the Council, the permanent representative of Pakistan before the UN Iphtikhar Ahmed reaffirmed the “unwavering support” of Islamabad for the Palestinian right to self -determination and urged at the end of Israeli military operations.
He said that Pakistan “meets humanity, justice and international law,” noting that Gaza civilians remain under relentless bombings and blockages, with hunger children, destroyed hospitals and families who lack food, medicine and refuge.
Ahmed emphasized that Pakistan meets most of the members of the Council and the broader members of the UN to reflect the expectations of the international community to stop urgently to the fighting.

US vetoes.
The United States on Thursday, again exercised its veto and frustrated a call from the UN Security Council for a high fire in Gaza at the UN Headquarters in New York City, USA.
The other 14 members of the Council supported the resolution, initiated in August in response to the Official Declaration of the UN famine after almost two years of the Israel War against Hamas in the Palestinian territory.
The vote occurred when Israeli tanks and airplanes hit the city of Gaza, the objective of a new new land offensive, forcing the Palestinians to flee from the south.
Israel launched its expected land offensive in the city of Gaza on Tuesday, attacked to Hamas militants and caused a generalized international alarm, with the UN by condemning it as “butcher shop.”
The United States has repeatedly rejected that approach several times, more recently in June, when it used its veto to support Israel.

Israel War in Gaza
Since October 2023, Israeli attacks in Gaza have killed more than 65,000 people and wounded 157,951, says the Palestinian Ministry of Health in the enclave.
Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest orders for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel also faces a case of genocide in the International Court of Justice for its war in the enclave. The proposed agreement includes a pause in hostilities, greater humanitarian aid and negotiations on the release of captives.
