QUETTA:
At least five people died in a powerful explosion near the border of Pakistan-Faghana in Chaman on Thursday, since the security forces eliminated four terrorists linked to the “Indian Network Fitna al Hindustan” during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Khuzdar de Baluchistan district.
The explosion occurred near a taxi position in the refugee field area near the border that frequented by travelers and premises. Police sources described the explosion “a suicidal explosion” that charged lives of at least five people and wounded three others.
However, a press wing statement from the Prime Minister’s office said that Shehbaz Sharif has “expressed a deep pain and sadness for the loss of six beautiful lives” in the “explosion of pumps in a car parking area near the border between Pak-Faghan in Chaman.”
The eyewitness and the locals said the explosion was so strong that it was heard throughout the city of Chaman and even in the suburban areas. Shortly after the explosion, security officials rushed to the scene. The ambulances of nearby hospitals were immediately sent to change the dead and injured by medical facilities.
The Baluchistan government condemned the attack. Prime Minister Sarfaraz Bugti ordered the law enforcement agencies to carry out comprehensive investigation into the incident and submit a detailed report.
According to the Baluchistan Department of Origin, the site has been sealed and the specialized teams were currently gathering forensic evidence. The authorities confirmed that the research process is underway to determine the nature of the explosion and the possible reasons behind it.
The Department of the Interior urged citizens to keep calm, avoid disseminating information or rumors not verified, and extend full cooperation to security agencies that work in the affected area. Security around the Pak-Faghan border has been tight as part of the caution measures.
Meanwhile, according to a Public Relations press release (ISPR), the Security Forces made the IBO in the Khuzdar district on Wednesday about the reported presence of terrorists belonging to the Indian power, Fitna al Hindustan.
“During the behavior of the operation, our forces effectively hired the location of the terrorists, and after an intense fire exchange, four terrorists sponsored by the Indians were sent to hell,” said the ISPR. “Weapons, ammunition and explosives of the terrorists were also recovered, who remained involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area,” he added.
“A disinfection operation is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorist who is in the area and the security forces of Pakistan are determined to eliminate the threat of terrorism sponsored by the country’s India and reaffirm the unwavering resolution of the Nation to bring justice to justice to justice,” he said more.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised security forces for a successful operation against Fitna-Ul-Hindustan in Khuzdar. He praised the professional skills of the officers and the staff of the security forces, said a press release from the Prime Minister’s office.
The prime minister promised that the fight against the threat of terrorism would continue until he was completely eradicated from the country. “The whole nation, including me, supports the armed forces of Pakistan in their unwavering resolution to protect the homeland,” said Prime Minister.
