“I was calling a game last night when I received the news of a text message that Brett was in a plane crash and did not succeed. Living in Nashville, I have been very lucky to meet many incredible people … Brett was undoubtedly that, one of the most talented and humble types and with the feet on the ground that I have met,” wrote the former state quarter of Ohio in X.

The plane had taken off from John C. Tune airport in Nashville. FAA and the National Transportation Security Board said they will investigate the accident.
