- The new leaks may have revealed Google’s smart house plans
- An unnoticed device is known as Google Home speaker
- Google Home Premium plans are apparently on their way
Google is shaking its intelligent house offers, with an improved AI and new devices on the way, and a couple of new leaks point towards a nearby speaker, a change in the brand and a new benefit for Google One.
First, the 9th5google team has been digging in the Code for the Google Home application on Android, finding a hidden reference to something called “Google Home speaker”, perhaps a fairly obvious name for the next Google smart speaker.
We really do not get much more on the device, apart from the name, but a “360” audio function is mentioned. Perhaps a Nest brand end for these devices, and a return to the old names of Google’s house.
We may have already seen this speaker, because something small, round and similar to speaker was seen in one of the promotional clips used in the Made By Google event that launched the Pixel 10, although Google really did not refer to it at all.
Google Home Premium
Another discovery of 9to5google in the same application: there is reference to the plans “Google Home Premium” and “Google Home Premium Advanced”, which presumably return to brand of the current Nest Aking and Nest Aking Plus plans.
These subscriptions give access to videoclips recorded in the cloud, taken by their nest cameras, as well as some smarter alerts (such as the ability to distinguish between a dog bark and a person who speaks in the notifications he receives).
According to the information seen by 9to5google, the lower level, Google Home Premium, could come as part of certain subscriptions of Google One. This is already the case of Nest Aking in the United Kingdom, so see this space for updates.
Google One subscriptions begin at $ 1.99 / £ 1.59 / AU $ 2.99 per month, and provide more cloud storage, access to more powerful tools, discounts on Google Store and extras such as Fitbit Premium.
