Oklahoma’s fans let their disgust be heard when the team lost to Tulsa at home for the first time in 74 years.
Tulsa beat the state of Oklahoma 19-12 on Friday at the Boone Pickens stadium, which led Cowboys fans to call chief coach Mike Gundy to be fired throughout the game.
Tulsa took an advantage of 16-3 in the part-time, and fans sang “Fire Gundy” before the first half ended. The songs continued with four remaining minutes in the last quarter with Tulsa leading 19-12 when the vociferous crowd in the ESPN transmission was heard.

The loss for Oklahoma State left the cowboys at 1-2. Oklahoma State beat Ut Martin 27-7 in his first game, but was demolished by Oregon last week, since team number 6 in the country defeated them, 69-3.
The 58 -year -old chief coach praised the “incredible” fans after the game, despite the calls for his work.
“They were incredible tonight, they really were,” Gundy said through the New York Post. “The stadium was full, and they were excited, and they were incredible.”

Gundy was asked what his message would be for fans who want to be fired immediately.
“Those are not decisions that I make,” Gundy said. “My decision is to do exactly what I mentioned earlier and get these guys and keep moving forward and follow the way, and that is what you do.”

More than 21 years and 260 games in the state of Oklahoma, Gundy has a record of 170-90. However, the team had its worst season in the era of Gundy last season, when they were 3-9.
The state of Oklahoma will try to change it when they play with the Baylor Bears, which currently have 2-1, next week at home.
