King Charles made a reflective gesture for the oldest living person in the world.

On Saturday, Buckingham Palace announced that Charles personally visited Ethel Caterham, who turned 116 last month.

During the meeting, the monarch presented a birthday card. Charles also spent time listening to his memories of seeing him as a young prince.

Next to the photo and a video clip of Charles that meets Ehel on Instagram, the statement in subtitles said: “Earlier this week, the king met with Ethel Caterham: the oldest living person in the world.”

“Ethel celebrated his 116th birthday last month and received a His Majesty birthday: an honor extended to all citizens of the United Kingdom or those in the territories abroad in the United Kingdom when they turn 100, 105 and every year thereafter,” reads more.

This occurs after King Charles and Queen Camilla received Donald Trump in Windsor Castle, including a state banquet and the view of a military ceremony.
