In a horrible incident, the commissioner of Ziarat (AC) Muhammad Afzal and his son have been killed by kidnappers on Sunday. The victims were kidnapped last month of the Zizri area of the Ziarat district by unidentified armed men.
The kidnappers recently published a video in which the hostages that declared the authorities that take immediate measure for their release, otherwise their captors threatened to kill them.
Ziarat’s deputy commissioner, Zakaullah, confirmed that the AC and his son were kidnapped by the terrorists on August 10. A RS50 million reward for information that led to the identification or arrest of perpetrators had been announced.
Meanwhile, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, strongly condemned the murders, calling the officer already killed his son ‘martyr’. He praised the services of the CA and offered condolences to the family family, saying that Afzal reached martyrdom while serving his official duties.
The minister said that the murdered AC was a dedicated officer and worker who would always be remembered. He added that those behind the murders would not escape the law.
