The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, ISHAQ Dar, has requested the strengthening of the Association between the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the United Nations to promote a culture of peace and tolerance in a world spoiled by conflicts.

He also stressed the importance of mobilizing humanitarian support, even through mechanisms such as Zakat and Waqf, while highlighting the need to empower women and young people through education, science, technology and active participation in the consolidation of peace.
Dar referred to the universal relevance of the legacy of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), citing Medina’s letter as a timeless model of pluralism, dialogue and interreligious relations based on mutual respect and understanding.
In his comments, he emphasized the transformative impact of the prophet’s teachings, noting that his philosophy of justice, tolerance and peace resonates strongly with the principles of the UN Charter.

In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, GIV also emphasized the challenges faced by the Muslim UMMAH, including the global increase in Islamophobia and unresolved conflicts such as Palestine and Kashmir. He urged other Muslim states to intensify efforts to safeguard the fundamental rights of Muslims and put an end to fratricidal divisions within the UMMAH.
He reaffirmed Pakistan’s firm commitment to these objectives and his preparation to collaborate with the OIC Member States and the international community in general in this collective effort.
