Kef has presented a new generation of its portable Bluetooth speaker, MUO, with Bluetooth 5.4, Aptx Adaptive and a 24 -hour battery.
The MUO retains its striking style, created by the renowned industrial designer Ross Lovegrove, the same person who designed the iconic Moon speakers of Kef, in 2016. It is claimed that this version makes extensive use of recycled plastic to reduce their environmental footprint.
The heart of the MUO is its specially developed racing driver (which means that it is more like an oval shape than a circle) that promises a powerful low end without excessive distortion or energy consumption.
The new MUO also incorporates Kef’s P-Flex technology, previously seen in its KC62 and KC92 subwoofers, which resists driver deformation caused by high internal air pressure. Kef says that the result is the delivery of “clean” serious. And there is also a new 19 mm dome tweeter to improve maximums.
Great sound of a small speaker
There are two class D inside: a 10W for high frequencies and a 30 W for minimums. The frequency response is an impressive 43Hz at 20 kHz.

The MUO weighs 740 g (1.6 pounds) and there are seven color options with matching straps: silver, dusk, amber mist, orange moon, blue aura, moss green, cocoa brown and midnight black.
The triangular form of the MUO and its speaker agreement are very similar to the Sono Roam 2nd Gen, but KEF speaker has a recommended retail price of $ 249.99.
