- New code in the last beta of iOS 26 reveals that Apple could be working to add third -party image generators to the image patio of recreation
- Currently, you can only use Chatgpt Inside Image Playground, but this new code suggests more third -party options in the future
- If this is fruit, Gemini Nano Banana could be one of the generators of added images in the future
Apple seems to be configured to update the image courtyard in iOS 26, since the new code in the latest beta version reveals that users could soon use imaging of third party images other than chatgpt.
Revealed by 9to5Mac, the new code suggests “estimated latency” and adds suppliers identifiers, which means that we are likely to see other tools for generating images of AI outside the recreation patio of Apple images in Apple.
This would be an incredibly exciting addition to Apple Intelligence, and aligns with previous reports by Mark Gurman in Bloomberg, who said that Apple could present Google’s products on iPhones in the future, for example, to enhance Siri.
Google is currently the Trailblazer in AI Image Generation, with its latest model, Nano Banana, which offers the best way to turn its text into images. Nano Banana also offers AI image editing capabilities that would really improve the experience of the playground in case it is introduced.
Image Playground is accessible on compatible devices that execute iOS 26, iPados 26 and Macos 26, and now has chatgpt capabilities, as well as the LLM itself of Apple for the generation of images.
While we have no idea when more generators of third -party images will be introduced in the image patio of images, this code found suggests a great update to the native application.
A patio of recreation of opportunities
The perspective of having tools for generating IA suppliers such as Google Integrated in Image Playground in iOS sounds absolutely fantastic.
I do not use the generation tools of the AI often, but having a native application that allows you to take advantage of the tools very capable of the market without opening a third -party application would really push Apple’s intelligence and Apple’s AI’s offer forward.
Image Playground is limited to saying the least, and although it was improved with iOS 26 by adding some chatgpt functionality, it could improve even better if Apple brings on board the Nano banana of Gemini.
Obviously, nothing is confirmed yet, but these findings hint up an Intelligence update of Apple very great soon, and I hope this will come to fruition.
