A terrifying scene developed in Progressive Field in the Detroit Tigers game of the Cleveland Guardians on Tuesday night, since David Fry of the Guardians was beaten in the face by a dirty council in an attempt to touch.
In the lower part of the sixth entrance with the guardians below 2-1, there were runners in the corners without outs when Tarik Skubal gave a 2-1 launch to Fry, who quickly became square for a touch of sacrifice.
But Skubal’s fast 99 mph ball, the AS of the Tigers, was too far. When Fry made contact with the field, he hit the top of his bat and redirected his face.

Fry hit the earth on the home of Home with immediate pain, while Skubal threw his glove and hat in shock in the face of what happened. Skubal was clear discomfort after what was developed, but all in the field and in the stands shared their feelings when the coaches rushed to tend to fry.
Fry finally stood up and the blood came out of his nose. A car left to get out of the field, and as expected, his night was over.

Unfortunately for Fry and the Guardians, because the ball contacted the bat before hitting it on the face, it was considered a dirty ball and the count was 2-2.
The hitter Pinch George Valera entered Fry to finish the bat and take his place for the rest of the game.

The entrance ended up getting worse for Skubal and Los Tigres once the game finally resumed. His first launch after the accident was wild, allowing the corridor in the third base to score to tie the game, while José Ramírez got into the second.
Then, Skubal committed a balk, allowing Ramírez for a free bag, and a base for the first base scored it to take a 3-2 advantage in the seventh inning.
Skubal is one of the best MLB pitchers, since the winner of the Cy Young 2024 award entered the game with an effectiveness of 2.23 of the US League in 189.1 entries. His curriculum this season makes him a favorite for the award once more.

Meanwhile, this game has great playoff implications, since the guardians are just a game behind the Tigers, since they began their last three games and regular season on Tuesday night. Each game is crucial at this time, with only a handful of remaining games to determine who will compete for a world series title this October.
