- IQoo has announced its mobile games ‘q3’ chip
- This is the first in the world to support the full -stage ray layout
- It will be included in the next phone IQOO 15
Iqoo is not a brand that we are talking about a lot, but this company owned by Vivo has just announced something that could transform the panorama of smartphone games.
The company has presented its new game of games of the third developed third quarter, which is designed to work together with the processor of a phone to give the games a boost. Described as a “mobile graphics card” this is not something that we see on many phones, although it is the third generation of chip ‘q’ of the company, so it is not a totally new idea.
Although Q3 sounds especially impressive, with Iqoo affirming that it is the “unique in the industry that supports the layout of stage rays, the super resolution and the super frame rates.”
Ray layout can be used to improve reflexes and other lighting effects, but so far on mobile devices if your phone supports ray layout, it will only be used in certain parts of the scene. With the set of scene, the physics of the light are simulated more accurately throughout the scene.
Meanwhile, super resolution is a technique with AI to increase the images of lower resolution, and frame speeds simply mean very high table speeds. So, if Q3 is capable of everything, it could drastically increase the images and performance of smartphone games.
You will need an iqoo phone to get this chip iqoo
Of course, you will need a phone with this graphic chip, and so far only the IQOO 15 has been announced as it includes.
This phone is not yet available, but Iqoo has already revealed that it will have a 6.85 -inch QHD screen with an 144Hz update rate, and thanks to an early Geekbench list (through GSMARENA) we also know that it should have a GEN 5 chipset of elite Snapdragon 8 and 16 GB of RAM (although other configurations may be available).
That chipset is the next generation in the Snapdragon 8 elite found in the Samsung Galaxy S25 series, and together with the Q3 chip offers impressive results here, with a single core score of 3,824 and a score of multiple cores of 12,402.
That is a similar result of a single nucleus to what it would get an iPhone 17 Pro Max, but it is a much higher score, and both scores have the current Android phones.
The leaks also suggest that IQOO 15 could have a massive 7,000 mAh battery and a 50MP cameras trio, so although this is a niche brand in the West, it is one that is worth paying attention.
