The former Great Jason Kelce of the Philadelphia Eagles is not a fan of the jersey numbers that defensive players can now use.
Upon entering the 2021 season, the NFL expanded the t -shirt numbers that were available for certain position groups. Kelce longs for the days he could look at a jersey number and know what position a boy played.
“I like to look at a shirt and know without knowing the guy what position that guy played. There was something about the number that meant the position you played,” Kelce said during a recent “New Heights” episode.
