“The image and clinical examination have confirmed that David Fry suffered multiple facial and nasal fractures on the left side, on the left side,” the team said in a statement. “While the injury will require close monitoring, including serial evaluations, David is expected to recover completely for the next 6-8 weeks without the need for surgery.
“David was recently discharged from the Cleveland Clinic and rests comfortably.”
The team thanked those who participated in receiving immediate treatment.

The Tigres pitcher, Tarik Skubal, launched the field that hit Fry on his face while trying to play. He was shaken by the work.
“It’s really difficult,” journalists told journalists at night, through MLB.com. “I already approached him. I am sure that his phone is exploding. I just want to make sure it’s fine. Obviously, it seemed well to leave the field, and I hope he stays like this. Sometimes with those things, they can change, so I hope it is fine.
“But I hope to be able to be able to receive a text message from him tonight or tomorrow morning and make sure that he is fine, because there are things that are bigger than the game, and his health is more important than a baseball game.”

Fry appeared in 66 games for the guardians this season. It has eight home runs and 23 ranges.
