The NFL commissioner, Roger Goodell, minimized the idea that the dual role of the Future Pro Football Hall of Fame, Tom Brady, as a minority owner of the Raiders of Las Vegas and the main NFL analyst of Fox Sports create a serious conflict of interest.
Brady is in the middle of his second season as Fox’s main analyst. Brady’s transmission work allows him the opportunity to have special access to players and coaches, an advantage that others who have minority bets on the teams do not have. During the last year and a half, Brady’s access has caused concerns about a conflict of interest.
During the confrontation of week 2 between the Raiders and the Los Angeles Chargers, Brady was seen wearing a headset inside the Raiders cabin.

In a statement, the NFL clarified that Brady’s actions were not violating the rules of the league. Brady is “forbidden to go to a equipment installation for practices or production meetings,” said the NFL. However, the former New England Patriots field marshal is allowed to be present at the coaches’ stand, according to the League.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell also addressed rumors about Brady’s access during a recent interview with CNBC. “The teams have the right to say what they want. They do not have to reveal any information if they think it is a conflict of interest,” said Goodell.

Goodell also noted that the teams are not obliged to reveal any information and, often, are held in meetings with former players turned into Broadcasters, considering the nearby ties that they can still have with their old teams.
“The teams do not need to say anything. Sometimes they don’t tell someone other [a minority owner]. We have many former players who are in [broadcast meetings] that are close to their old teams. I think our teams are quite intelligent in saying: ‘I am not sharing something with him’ “.

Goodell added that there are protocols that safeguard Brady to be aware of anything that can give Raiders an unfair advantage.
“Where is the conflict?” Goodell said. “He is not circling at the facilities. We don’t allow it.”
In Brady’s debut season in the transmission stand, he was forbidden to attend the production meetings that included the transmission team of a given game and the chief coaches and some players on both sides of the confrontation. The League decided to loosen some of those restrictions for the 2025 season. It is now allowed to participate in these meetings, although from a remote environment.

On Wednesday, the seven -time Super Bowl winner rejected the discussions that question if their role as a Raiders investor and their responsibilities in the transmission cabin could coexist.
Brady effectively characterized anyone who has serious concerns that he was aware of a competitive advantage and “paranoid and distrustful.”
