Makena White, the girlfon of the golfer of PGA Tour Jake Knapp, has died, confirmed his loved ones. She was 28 years old.
“Hello everyone, this is Makena’s friend, writing with the heaviest heart to share that Makena died earlier this week,” said a publication on social networks. “He already misses her deeply for her father, her family, her friends and, of course, for Nelly and Fergie.”
Nelly and Fergie names refer to the beloved White dogs.

The publication also highlighted White’s remarkable capacity to have a lasting impact on others.
“Makena was unique. He had this rare way to make you feel special, and his huge heart was always overwhelmed with love. Being loved by Makena was a gift; one that came with endless laughs, so much joy and a hint of healthy chaos while trying to continue with his travel schedule.”

The announcement also encouraged support to the Bruyère Brain Health & Memory or Griffin Endowment Fund clinic.
“If you want to honor Makena’s memory, donations to the Bruyère Brain Health & Memory or the Griffin Bell Endowment Fund clinic would mean a lot.”

White’s mother, Crystal, began visiting the clinic in 2018, after Alzheimer’s disease was diagnosed. In a publication on the social networks of 2022, White announced the death of his mother.
The additional details surrounding White’s death were not released.
Pak Gazette Digital requested comments from Knapp representatives, but did not immediately receive an answer.
Knapp is not part of the American team for the Ryder Cup in New York. The Fedex St. Jude championship last month marked the most recent that Knapp competed in a professional golf event.

On Knapp’s birthday in May, White described the golfer as his “best friend.”
White attended the 2024 Masters Tournament at the Augusta National Golf Club, where Knapp tied in 55th position.
