After the first three games of the day did not even arrive at Hole 16, Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele could Birdie 18 to save the morning and take a point.

“He took a little time and had to go through some opportunities that allowed them to pass with certainty, but I think, you know, for Tommy, he reinforces him in such a positive way. I think that if you see it positively, those who escape, only make you stronger,” Donald said after Friday’s game.
“I think Tommy is a guy who loves being close to the team. He loves to contribute to that team. Yes, he is a good player to play. I think he is at the top of the list of many boys in the team with which people want to play.”
Simultaneously, Scottie Scheffler and Dechambeau combined to go 0-4-0, with Scheffler, the world number 1, never reached hole 17.
