Mark Wahlberg has a career celebrated, but for his children, he says, they find him “quite silly”
Explaining this in an interview with ExtraThe actor says: “I’m just dad, you know, silly, always willing to make fun of myself to make them laugh. I’m filming a movie at this time in Boston, so they came to visit me there, which was very fun.”
In another part of the interview, Mark opens about his thoughts about letting his children follow his footsteps in Hollywood.
He Shooter Star remembers that one of his children wanted to appear in the movies. Then, when the father of four children asked him to audition for his 2023 Family Man cinema, his son did not.
“My son has mentioned him a couple of times, and then I asked if he wanted to audition to play my son in the ‘Family Plan’, and then he resisted that,” he says. “And then we were doing the sequel, and he said: ‘Dad, he should have done that.'”
This attitude, says Mark, made him realize that he would not push his children to a profession, particularly in the show, if they are not “serious” about it.
“I’m not going to push it, and if you are not going to take it seriously, I will not encourage it if you are giving me the same attitude about getting up for school, since you are giving me to go to work, I can’t have that,” he concludes.
