A beating at Bethpage Black suddenly became a war, but Europe stopped late to win the Ryder Cup.
Shane Lowry assured the 14th place necessary to retain the cup with a Birdie in 18 to reduce her match against Russell Henley. Tyrell Hatton collected the necessary half -point on Collin Morikawa to give victory to Europeans.
Lowry entered the 18 hole for a hole, and both Henley and Lowry put their iron shots at the feet of the hole. Henley was the first to win his game and keep the hopes of the United States alive, but his Putt Birdie was a short roll.

That mentioned Lowry, who drained the putt in a moment of classic golf forever.
An emotional Lowry went absolutely crazy at Green, celebrating with teammates, family and friends.
Europe ended on day two to 11.5-4.5, the biggest deficit that a US team has faced in the current format of 28 points of the event. However, after Viktor Hovland had to retire due to a neck injury, Harris English sat on the bank and his game declared himself a draw due to the rules of the event.
Therefore, Europe needed only two points of 11 to be the first repeated champion since Europe was three consecutive from 2010 to 2014.
However, it was undoubtedly a routine to obtain those two points. The United States won three consecutive points, with Cam Young and Justin Thomas, both Birdie in 18 to win their games, 1 Up.

Bryson Dechambeau defended from 5 to seven to tie his match with Matt Fitzpatrick, who could have won if he had not lost a foot of 3 feet in 17 while he was up.
Ludvig Aberg beat Patrick Cantlay, 2 and 1, to give Europe 13.5 points, but after that, Europe did not lead any of the remaining matches. Suddenly, the United States closed its gap only three points, but Lowry had nothing like that.
Lowry obtained the worst part of several blows throughout the weekend of the United States crowd, which can be the only bad part of being paired with Rory Mcilroy in the Ryder Cup.
It is also the first time that a visitor team won a Ryder Cup since the incredible return of Europe in 2012 in Medinah.

Europe won each of the first four sessions, a first Ryder Cup. Three of those sessions were 3-1 scores.
The United States fought to practically return to the road on Bethpage Black in the nine in the first two days, with more than a handful of matches that end the 14, 15 and 16 during the weekend.
But on Sunday, of the 11 games played, all but one were at least 17 holes, with eight in all 18.
