The Algorand Foundation has taken advantage of Nikolaos Bougalis, a veteran cryptographer and former Ripple engineering leader, as its new technology director, the company said in a press release on Monday.
Bougalis, who spent almost a decade by guiding the development of the open source XRP book book, will lead Algorand’s engineering efforts and will help advance its 2025 technical road map.

Algorand, launched in 2019, aims to offer instantaneous purpose and low rates for builders who create projects in payments, identity, supply chain and tokenization of assets. The ecosystem now includes millions of users and a global network of developers who use family programming languages ​​such as Python and TypeScript.
