- Claude Sonnet 4.5 is now available
- Anthrope announced the launch today along with improvements to other existing products
- The Claude code now has control points and can create files directly from Claude chatbot
Anthrope has launched Claude Sonnet 4.5, the next generation of its incredibly popular AI model.
The company is calling Sonnet 4.5 “the best coding model in the world” and states that it is the “strongest model to build complex agents” and to “use computers.”
The new update to Claude is launched together with other updates to the most popular Anthrope products, including the control points for the Claude code so that it can save its progress and return to the previous states, as well as the execution of code and the creation of files for spreadsheets, slides and documents from its conversation. These capabilities will be available in all paid plans.
Together with these big ads, Anthrope also confirmed that Claude for Google Chrome will be available for all who had previously joined the waiting list.
Anthrope says that Sonnet 4.5 is the “most aligned model so far” of the company and affirms that the new update “will substantially improve the behavior of the model, reducing behaviors such as skica, deception, the search for energy and the tendency to encourage delusional thinking.”
Claude Sonnet 4.5 is available today, and prices are still the same per million tokens as the previous Sonnet 4 model.
A great leap forward
Openai’s latest study shows that Claude Sonnet 4.1 expires to GPT-5, Gemini and Grok in work-world work tasks. Now Anthrope says that Sonnet 4.5 shows “clear progress” about his predecessor, and the new model not only achieves a higher performance at the reference points, but is also “better to meet commercial needs practical than their predecessor, which allows our customers to do more, solve harder problems and be more creative.”
Sonnet 4.5 can now help users to build personalized agents who use natural language, and Anthrope even states that the model can function autonomously for 30 hours, a massive improvement about the 7 -hour capacity of Claude Opus 4.
Companies are already impressed
Anthrope shared some quotes from his customers during the revelation of Sonnet 4.5, and the model has been received by the first users with brilliant praise.
Danny Wu, head of products from AI in Canva, said: “Claude Sonnet 4.5 offers impressive profits in our most complex and long -term tasks, from engineers in our code base to characteristics and research in the product. It is remarkably smarter, helping to boost what users of 240 million can design with Canva.”
While Ward, CEO of Igent AI, said the new model, “restores our expectations: it manages more than 30 hours of autonomous coding, freeing our engineers to address months of complex architectural work in dramatically less time while maintaining coherence through mass code bases.”
Claude Sonnet 4.5 seems to be one of the biggest launches of the year, and although we are still doing ourselves, surely it sounds incredibly promising.
