- Energybook pro ultra pack a 192Wh battery, the largest ever equipped on a laptop
- AIR TELECOM claims up to 28 hours of use and a week waiting
- In 192Wh, the laptop unfortunately exceeds aviation limits for hand batteries
Energizer, better known for batteries and smartphones, is launching a new laptop that puts resistance ahead of everything else.
The Energybook Pro Ultra comes with a 192Wh lithium-polymer monobloqu, which the company says it is the largest battery ever integrated into a laptop.
Avenir Telecom, the French company that designs and manufactures hardware of the Enerizer brand, states that the new laptop can last up to 28 hours of regular office work, or about 11 hours of play and graphics tasks. In waiting mode, according to reports, you can spend a whole week without charging.
That will simply not fly
“With the Energybook Pro Ultra, we are overcoming the limits of how laptops are seen. It is full of energy, battery life and durability, faithful to the DNA of Energizer,” said Julien Galou, Marketing Chief of Avenir Telecom.
The company is forming when it comes to packing large batteries on devices: in 2024, it launched the hard P28K smartphone with a huge 28,000 mAh battery, promising a conversation time of 122 hours (approximately five days) and a waiting time of 2,253 hours or a little more than three months.
Leaving the battery aside, the specifications for the portable energy computer pro ultra are decidedly average range.
The system presents an AMD Ryzen 5, 16 GB processor, a 512 GB SSD NVME and a 18 -inch Full HD+ Full screen.
Connectivity includes USB-C, HDMI, USB 3.0, SD card slot and headphones intake.
The laptop will be sold for € 449 ($ 523) before taxes. However, it is not known when or where it will be available.
However, a detail can limit your audience. Aviation safety rules restrict lithium ion batteries on flights to 100 ° in hand luggage, with some airlines that allow up to 160 ° with special approval.
In 192Wh, the Energybook pro ultra exceeds both limits, which makes it unlikely to be allowed in most commercial flights (some airlines may not verify, but it is worth being aware).
The Energybook Pro Ultra is part of a broader line, which also includes 15 and 18 -inch models with smaller batteries.
With the record size of Ultra, Energizer has created a laptop that could fight to fulfill its promise of mobility.
