The former New York giant star, Odell Beckham Jr., implored the NFL to make a change and get rid of the grass fields after the injury that Malik Nabers suffered against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Nabers was going up for a pass that was released behind him by the rookie field marshal Jaxson Dart. While trying to explode from his leg, Nabers immediately went down. Multiple Monday reports said he suffered a torn acl that ended the season.

The incident caused Beckham publications in X.
“Dear @nfl, I mean this with the greatest love and respect. We (the NFL) take all the precautions of the world with everything else when it comes to the players ‘health’ and ‘security’. Plz. Plz. Plz. Fitting on the grass. Thank you in advance. Luv,” he wrote.
“I respect and you, I love it, the giants, but Deathlife has moved too much talented players from the game. I conocate that it is not the fault of the Céspedes, but at least perhaps where we have done all the investigation if the grass has to remain in the highest possible quality. At least we can start the discussion.”
The field conditions in the Metlife Stadium have been subject to scrutiny in recent years, since there have been a series of injuries that end the season there.

The Metlife stadium altered its grass before the 2023 season after a protest for the conditions. Even so, the players considered the Metlife Stadium as one of the worst places of the League.
A player told Athletics in 2023 that the “grass of the stink stadium and the whole place is lame.”
The owner of the Giant team, John Mara, also addressed the problem in 2023.

“Prevent up, I hope we can get to a day at some point in the future when we can have a grass field that we can maintain with two different teams and all the other events we have,” said the owner of the giants, John Mara, during the NFL meetings in March of that year. “I think we can get there at some point. It may be a hybrid product or something.”
