Lewis Hamilton has just revealed the loss of his pet dog, Roscoe.

The British racing pilot announced that his 12 -year -old bulldog, Roscoe, died Sunday night after being admitted due to pneumonia and being placed in a coma.

Lewis, who lost a formula 1 tire test to be next to Roscoe, took his official Instagram account and revealed that he has to make the “most difficult decision to (his) life.”

“After four days of life support, fighting with all the force I had, I had to make the most difficult decision of my life and say goodbye to Roscoe,” Lewis wrote in the publication, and added: “He never stopped fighting, until the end.”

“I feel very grateful and honored to have shared my life with such a beautiful soul, an angel and a true friend,” he continued. “Bringing Roscoe to my life was the best decision I have made, and I will always appreciate the memories we create together.”

In the update, the F1 actor also acknowledged that he had never had to leave an animal before.

“It is one of the most painful experiences and I feel a deep connection with all those who have gone through the loss of a beloved pet,” added the 40 -year -old, before expressing his gratitude for Roscoe.

“Although it was very difficult, having it was one of the most beautiful parts of life, loving so deeply and being loved in return. Thank you all for the love and support they have shown to Roscoe over the years. It has been so special to witness and feel,” concluded Lewis Hamilton.
