An emotional speech of an afflicted father led the Liv Phil Mickelson golf star to call the justice system.
Mickelson saw the testimony of Stephen Federico at a meeting of the Judicial Subcommittee of the Chamber on Monday in Charlotte, North Carolina, after the stabbed death of Iryna Zarutska in the light harrow of the city less than two months ago.
Federico’s daughter, Logan, a 22 -year -old teacher from Waxhaw, North Carolina, was visiting friends at the South Carolina University when the “Carrera” Alexander Dickey supposedly broke into a Cypress Street house on May 3 and shot her and killed her.

Dickey had been arrested 39 times in 25 serious crimes. Federico shared his pain and explained why he continues to press for the change in the legal system.
Mickelson clearly moved, publishing Federico’s comments again with his own message.
“The judge (s) that let this person go to be responsible and in jail,” Mickelson wrote.

Federico’s testimony was raw and emotional.
“Think about your son who returns home with his friends, lying down to sleep, feeling that someone entered his room and wakes them up. Arret them from the bed, naked, on his knees with his hands on his head, begging for his life,” he said, fighting against tears.
“He had 5 feet 3 inches, weighed 115 pounds. Bang! Dead. Gone. Get.
Federico later appeared in “The Ingraham Angle” by Pak Gazette, where he explained even more his mission.

“I am struggling for Logan. I have to be Logan’s voice because no one else will be. I have no one fighting for his justice. Someone has to fight for the innocent people who stay here. We have to make some drastic changes in our system. People like Alexander Dickey shouldn’t be on the street, people know it,” he said.
The Lexington County Sheriff’s office confirmed that Dickey’s criminal record covered eight agencies. It was reserved 11 times between 2013 and 2025, facing multiple charges of robbery and theft. A first -degree robbery sentence in South Carolina entails a minimum prison sentence of 15 years and with life imprisonment.
Federico said the system gave Dickey more rights than his daughter.
“They worried more about making sure he was not in prison than worrying about whether he was going to hurt someone or not,” he said. “His crimes intensified every time he made a new one. He finally graduated from the Gordo Award and executed our daughter. We are still trying to know about our South Carolina lawyer to see if he is going to get the death penalty or not. Obviously, he verifies all the boxes that are.

“But they are more concerned with keeping criminals out of prisons and institutions than to try to rehabilitate them. You cannot rehabilitate some of these types, it is simply impossible.”
