If you have been weighing whether youtube premium is worth the subscription rate, now you get five more functions for your money. These characteristics have previously been available as tests or in a limited selection of devices, and are now implementing more widely.
The new features are described in an official publication of the YouTube help forum (through 9to5google). First is the ability to increase reproduction speeds to a 4X Pacy, which is twice the maximum speed of 2x that youtube regular users obtain. This is now completely available in Android, iOS and the Web.
Then there is the highest quality audio, which increases the melodies to 256 Kbps in videos officially labeled as music clues. This has already been available through YouTube Music, but now it is also an option on YouTube for Android and iOS.
The following is Jump Ahead, which allows you to quickly jump to the most viewed sections of a video (in theory, cutting the least interesting parts). YouTube premium subscribers have previously had access to this on the desktop and mobile, and the function is now also pressed to YouTube applications for smart televisions and game consoles.
YouTube Shorts Characteristics
The other two features we need to cover are for YouTube shorts. Smart downloads for shorts, where the YouTube application will automatically download recommended clips to see while it is offline, has been previously available on Android and has been tested on iOS, and is now reaching all iPhone users.
