Operai has revealed a new instant payment function that allows users to buy directly from the chatgpt interface.
Initially, it only begins in the US, the electronic commerce tool will be available for all types of personal accounts of Chatgpt, including free and professional users, however, its real world application will be limited before obtaining any impulse.
For example, users of day one can only make purchases of a single ETSY element, however, the big changes are in cards and instant payment could become much more powerful.
Chatgpt adds instant payment
Operai said Shopify will be compatible with “soon”, which includes millions of merchants using popular software. After that, the company has pledged to support cars of multiple elements, add more merchants and include more regions.
In the announcement, Openai said the product results are “organic and without sponsorship, purely classified in relevance to the user”, in a minor excavation in traditional search engines such as Google.
The company also pointed out that instant payment products do not obtain any kind of favoritism in the results.
Operai earns his money charging “a small rate” to merchants for completed purchases. The system works through the Agent Trade Protocol (ACP), developed jointly with Stripe and now open source, with stripe technology and business president, Gaybrick, pointing out the emerging requirement to “reload current trade systems” for the AI era.
Users can choose to pay with the card they have in the file or choose a new card/expression payment option, with OpenAi stating that encrypted payment tokens are only authorized for specific amounts and merchants so that they are not misused.
“Chatgpt helps us meet buyers where they are,” concluded Etsy CPO/CTO Rafe Colburn.
The launch occurs at the back of a series of recent Operai updates, including its AI agent mode, which can navigate in the user’s name.
