- Agent mode and agent’s office will do your hard work for you
- Only users of us get launch office agent
Inspired by Vibe Coding (where AI generates the code and the Fineune developers), Microsoft has raised the wraps of what it calls “Vibe Working” for office applications.
The technological giant has brought a new agent to Excel and Word to help office workers to increase and accelerate production, as well as an office agent dedicated to the Co -cilot chat, which will later come to PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
With new agents, users can convert indications into “high quality documents …, spreadsheets and presentations.”
Microsoft gives office users new AI agents to work
Starting with Excel, Microsoft is adding GPT-5 reasoning models to break down the complex tasks of step-by-step spreadsheets. The company acknowledged that the most powerful software features are only available for expert users, but with the agent mode, users can generate results, evaluate the results and solve problems.
In the example given in the company’s blog post, we see that the agent mode decides formulas, produces new sheets and creates data viewing from a simple message.
Agent for word drafts and refine the work, clarifying the details and applying polished format to create the definitive finished piece from the user’s indications, which makes it the highlight of Vibe’s work.
However, it is not only beneficial to work, because it also acts as a writer’s deputy: “Can you clean this document?
The second part of the announcement of Microsoft, the office agent in Co -Cat, adopts a newer approach to AI tools. Instead of using GPT models, as you have done before, Microsoft is beginning to use alternative models. This feature works with the Claude of Anthrope models.
The office agent will complete the entire process, from the realization of deep investigations to the production of usable content.
The Word and Excel agent mode on the web are being implemented through the Frontier program now, with the desktop support that will come “soon.”
Office Agent is also being implemented, but only in the US and for web applications.
