‘CJP, head of CB must solve the problems of IHC’

Islamabad:

The judge of Puisne de Islamabad (IHC) Puisne Mohsin Akhtar Kayani has said that the president of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, Yahya Afridi, and the head of the Constitutional Bank of SC (CB), Judge Amindin Khan, should reach the IHC and sit with their judges to understand the situation there.

“This will solve all the problems, including internal problems within the court,” Judge Kayani said on Tuesday while talking with journalists after a hearing of the Supreme Court.

Five judges of IHC-Kayani, Babar Sattar, Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri, Sardar Ejaz Ishaq Khan and Saman Rafat Imtiaz, attended the procedures on Monday and Tuesday, made by a CB of five members, of requests presented against an IHC order.

On September 16, a Bank of the IHC division led by the president of the Supreme Court Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar prevented Judge Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri to perform his duties when he began the procedures in a request for Quo guaranteed that he accused him of having a doubtful title of LLB.

On September 19, five IHC judges, including Judge Jhangiri, went to the Supreme Court in person to present separate constitutional requests, making eleven different sentences, including one that seeks the annulment of the IHC order that prohibits Jahangiri from judicial work.

The CB canceled the interim IHC on Tuesday. After obtaining a brief relief from the CB, the five IHC judges answered the questions of the journalists.

Judge Kayani told journalists that IHC judges felt as if they were standing at the dock as the accused people. When asked if the judges should form a union, Judge Kayani said it was not about creating a union to press someone.
