Peshawar:
Four police personnel were injured when an improvised explosive device hit his vehicle near Qamar Din Chowk in the jurisdiction of Bhanah Mari Police Station, Peshawar, Thursday.
According to the police chief of the city of Peshawar, Dr. Saeed Ahmad, the police vehicle was in a routine patrol when the explosion occurred. “The explosion suddenly took place, wounding four of our staff. They were immediately transferred to a nearby hospital to receive medical treatment,” he said.
The initial reports identified the wounded officers such as Shah Faisal, Agent Sajad, Noorullah and the driver ZIA. Police and security forces quickly arrived at the site after the explosion, cordoning off the area to collect evidence.
The authorities have initiated an investigation to determine the perpetrators behind the attack and are urging the public to remain attentive.

In May, two policemen lost their lives and two others along with a passer -by suffered when a suicide terrorist exploded near a police truck at the Road Road Mandi shopping center, Peshawar.
The suicide bomber attacked the police truck of the police patrolling near the Mandi Shopping Center. As a result of the explosion, two police officers, including the sub -inspector Laiq Zada Khan and constantle Alamzaib lost their lives.
Rescue workers immediately transferred the bodies and wounded to the hospital. Police said martyred and injured officials were inside the mobile truck when they were attacked.
The explosion caused severe damage to the vehicle and the echo of the explosion was heard in distant places, sending the waves of shock in the surrounding areas.
