At the biggest entrance of his life, Fernando Cruz arrived.
The New York Yankees were tied with the Red Boston socks, 3-3, at the top of the seventh when Cruz entered with the runners first and second without anyone.
Cruz made his way not to allow a red socks runner to cross the plate, keeping the score tied. The Yanks finally took the lead in the next entry before forcing a decisive game 3 Thursday night at the Bronx.

Cruz entered this season with an effectiveness of 4.52, but launched to an effectiveness of 3.56, becoming a high leverage relay for Bronx bombers.
After making Trevor Story fly to Trent Grisham with the bases loaded, Cruz went crazy in celebration. After the game, Cruz accredited his faith for helping him out of the hard Jam.
“I have a powerful giant on my side, his name is Jesus Christ. I will deliver him for him, first of all,” Cruz said.

Cruz caught an attempt to touch before Nick Ruard flew to the left. Jazz Chisholm Jr. saved a career by exposing the success of Masataka Yoshida painting, and then Story flew to the center to finish the frame.
