- Quixant IQON3 Mini PC security features include TPM 2.0, AES256 and NVRAM protected
- The resistant chassis makes the silent cooling viable in crowded casino environments
- Dual Pcie Gigabit Ethernet ensures stable connectivity for cabinet networks
Quixant has introduced his latest incorporation into the IQON line, a silent mini PC designed for game cabinets in casinos and retro arcade environments.
The company says that the IQON3 reaches a resistant chassis and passively cooled in the company’s distinctive orange color, and is driven by AMD Ryzen Pro 8000 APUS.
With a configuration that combines modern interfaces and inherited connections, this device offers flexible hardware for operators looking for a workstation adapted to games applications.
Hardware Foundation and CPU Choice
The AMD Ryzen Pro 8000 in this device integrates CPU and Radeon 7x0m graphics in a single package.
This approach allows the unit to drive up to four ultra HD 4K screens while admitting Displayport 1.4 and the decoding of hardware video.
The memory support extends to 64 GB through two SO-DIMM DDR5-5600 plugs, which places it closer to the specifications at work station level instead of entry level hardware.
The system provides a wide set of storage options, including a M.2 PCIE 4.0 NVME slot, two CFAST 2.0 plugs and two SATA3 slots.
Quixant also offers optional EEPROM storage up to 128 kB for users that require integrated configuration or safety configuration.
One of the most striking aspects of the mini PC IQON3 is its port coverage.
Its external options include four USB 3.2 ports in the front and four USB 2.0 ports on the side, complemented by internal headers for greater expansion.
For networks, the unit admits dual interfaces PCIe Gigabit Ethernet and six configurable ports that support SAS, JCM, RS485 and RS232.
This device is also compatible with I2C SPI and I2C headers and Ibutton interfaces for safe authentication, data record and peripheral expansion.
Beyond performance, IQON3 integrates TPM 2.0, unique digital serial number identifiers, protected NVRAM and AES256 encryption.
Physical protections, such as a metal box with a keylock and monitoring systems for changes in writing protection, reinforce their positioning for controlled environments.
For audio, it includes an HD 7.1 standard controller with amplified stereo exits to 15W per channel, enough to serve additional hardware cabinet facilities.
