Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday, appreciating the “dignified” participation of Pakistani citizens in Sumud Gaza Flotilla, demanded his return when they were intercepted on their way to Gaza to provide humanitarian aid.

Previously in another position in X, Prime Minister Shehbaz strongly condemned the disgusting attack of Israeli forces in the Sumud Gaza flotilla, which leads more than 450 humanitarian workers from 44 countries on a mission to bring humanitarian aid to Gaza.
“This barbarism must end. Peace must have an opportunity and humanitarian aid must reach those in need,” he wrote.
He expressed hope and prayed for the security of all those who have been illegally arrested by Israeli forces and requested their immediate release.
“His crime was to bring help for the unfortunate Palestinian people,” said the prime minister.

Pakistan has unequivocally condemned Israel’s interception of the Sumud Global Flotilla, a vital humanitarian mission that incorporates global solidarity and moral resolution.
In a statement on Thursday, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said: “Israeli actions constitute a serious violation of international law.”
He said: “On September 16, 2025, Pakistan, together with 15 nations, issued a joint statement that expresses concern for the safety of the flotilla.”
“The security and well -being of Pakistani citizens aboard the flotilla are of the utmost importance,” he said, he added: “As Pakistan does not recognize Israel, we are working closely with international partners in the region to ensure its immediate release and guarantee their security.”
He said that Pakistan continued to coordinate with allied nations to safeguard his nationals, reaffirming his commitment to his fast and safe return.
President
President Asif Ali Zardari strongly condemned Israeli aggression against Sumud Gaza Flotilla.
In a statement, the president paid tribute to the courage and humanitarianism of Pakistani citizens in the flotilla.
He said that the attack on the aid mission was a serious violation of human rights and international laws.
He asked the international community to guarantee an uninterrupted supply of help to the citizens of Gaza.
He expressed the best wishes for the immediate security and return of the Pakistani present in the flotilla.
He said that Pakistan will always be with the oppressed Palestinian people.
