Nha suffers the losses of RS13.65tr in the last five years

Alarming financial figures of the National Highway Authority (NHA) were also reported in the National Assembly, demonstrating that the body had suffered losses of RS13.65 billion in the last five years.

The breakdown of annual deficits included RS2.54 billion in 2021, RS1.68 billion in 2022, RS4.13 billion in 2023, RS3.18 billion in 2024 and RS3.10 billion in 2025. During this period, the total entrance of the NHA amounted to only RS159 billion.

In March, it was presented in the NA that the added losses and loans of the NHA had crossed RS1.82tr and RS3.1tr, respectively.
