The Field Marshal of the Houston Texans, CJ Stoud, has played in less than three complete seasons in the NFL.

Stud celebrated his 24th birthday on Friday, and seems to be experiencing the harmful effects of playing in the League. On Thursday, Stud was asked about the methods that he has incorporated into his daily regime that helps him stay in optimal physical conditions.

Stud then talked about his diet and staying consistent with the exercise. But he raised some eyebrows when he compared his current athletic ability with his days as a secondary soccer star.

While Stud said he has advanced in his diet and stretching, he also believes he has lost a step.

“Where I think the explosiveness comes from being better in my diet, being better with stretching. I feel that I am becoming old. I am not as fast as it used to be,” Stribud said while Sounding. “I was seeing my things from high school a couple of days ago. I had 180 (pounds) and I was rolling, but no more. But, I try to be better with those things to be able to run fast.”

While Stroud’s fall in athletics is debatable, the production of young people from Signal-Caller has dropped from his outstanding rookie season.

Through four games this season, Stud has launched four touchdowns and three interceptions. It finished 2024 with 3,727 air yards, 20 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.

Stroud’s rookie season ended with 4,108 aerial yards, 23 touchdowns and five interceptions. The Texans advanced to the playoffs in each of the first two seasons of Stud.

Houston enters week 5 with a record of 1-3. Texans visit the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.
