Although Apple has not revealed how well the iPhone 17 series is being sold, it seems that, in general terms, it is a success, which is not surprising since the company has refreshed the design and introduced a completely new model in the form of the iphone air.

The firm states that the current demand of the iPhone 17 series as a whole has been “modestly stronger than we originally expected”, based on a combination of information collected from the Apple supply chain and the estimates of the shipping date in the Apple online store.
However, while the iPhone 17, the iPhone 17 Pro and the iPhone 17 Pro Max apparently have a great demand, there is apparently a “relative weakness” in the iPhone’s air demand until now.
Now, it is worth noting that the iPhone air is not yet in China, which is an important market for Apple, so it could be a factor. But it is unlikely that this affects the delays in the shipment, or the lack of them, for the phone, since the models destined for China, if they have still occurred, presumably would not be sold elsewhere.
A challenging phone
Even without the Chinese factor, it is not a big surprise that the iphone air can be the weak link in terms of sales. While some people clearly love, this is a phone in which you really need to try to be sold, since the specifications, including a unique lens chamber and a smaller battery, leave a bit to be desired.
And even after having tried it, it is likely that these specifications commitments are a great loss for many possible buyers. So, this was always going to be a difficult sale.
What this means for the future of the iPhone airline, and if there will be more of them, it is not clear, but with Apple, according to the reports, launch the first folding iPhone next year, it is credible that the company can leave the air and focus on the folding as its fourth main model.
On the other hand, the iPhone Mini and the iPhone Plus obtained multiple exits despite similar sales struggles, so Apple can give air to the air at least one more attempt.
