The first full moon of 2025, a superluna, will rejoice the heavens through Pakistan on October 7, according to the space research commission and the upper atmosphere of Pakistan (Supparco).
The phenomenon occurs when the moon reaches its closest point to the Earth, known as perigee, at a distance of approximately 361,400 kilometers (224,599 miles). At this point, approximately 14% larger and 30% brighter than a typical full moon will appear.
Suparco said that this will be the first superluna in almost a year, after the last in November 2024.
