Mushtaq Ahmad’s safe return probably in the next few days: fo


The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has declared that it has the hope that the safe evacuation of former Senator Mushtaq Ahmad will be “successfully completed in the next few days.”

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (FO) says that it is working tirelessly to ensure safe evacuation with the help of the Jordanian government.

“We are deeply grateful to the fraternal government of Jordan for its exemplary cooperation and its generous support,” he added.

In a statement issued in X on Sunday, diplomatic sources in a friendly European country have confirmed that former Jamaat-I-Islami Senator (JI) Mushtaq Ahmad Khan is safe and is in custody of Israeli occupying forces.

Mushtaq Ahmad Khan was arrested by Israeli forces while aboard the Sumud Global Flotilla, as confirmed on October 2. Ahmad led the Pakistani delegation of five members as part of the Sumud Global Fleet.

“We have also been informed that, in accordance with local procedures, Ahmad will appear before a court. After the issuance of deportation orders, their repatriation will be easily facilitated.”

According to the statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs had already taken measures for the safe return of the people who were separated from the flotilla in the initial phase.

In a publication about X, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, a leading member of Jamat-I-Islaami, confirmed his conversation with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, saying that he had urged the prime minister to “accelerate efforts” for the release and recovery of Mushtaq Ahmad Khan. He said that the prime minister informed him that Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar had assigned this responsibility.

Thousands of people in Karachi and other important cities and towns in Sindh went to the roads to denounce the Israeli attack against the help ships that were heading to Gaza on October 4.

On the appeal of Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, a day of protest was observed nationwide on Friday against the Israeli attack against the Global Sumud flotilla. Similar demonstrations were held in almost all the main cities of Sindh.

The Sumud Global Flotilla, which transported medicine and food to Gaza, consisted of more than 40 civil ships with approximately 500 parliamentarians, lawyers and activists.

The flotilla published several videos on Telegram with messages from individuals aboard the various ships, some holding their passports and stating that they were kidnapped and taken to Israel against their will, and reiterating that their mission was a non -violent humanitarian cause.

The flotilla is the highest opposition symbol of high profile to the blockade of Gaza de Israel.

His progress through the Mediterranean Sea attracted international attention when nations, including Turkey, Spain and Italy, sent boats or drones in case their nationals required assistance, even when it caused repeated warnings of Israel to return.
