A case has been registered at the Peshawar Sharqi Police Station for the alleged kidnapping of Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI) Sanam Javed activist.
According to the first information report (FIR) presented by her friend on Tuesday, who is a lawyer, according to the reports, Sanam Javed was arrested by five people not identified on a road busy in Peshawar and forced a vehicle before being taken.
The complaint, in the FIR, described the incident as a serious violation of the law and order, stating that such an act raises questions about the application of the law in the city.
He asked for an immediate investigation into the matter and the arrest of those involved in the alleged kidnapping, read the fir.
Meanwhile, the information from the secretary of Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI) Sheikh Waqas Akram on Monday that the leader of the Sanam Javed party was collected from Peshawar, The news reported.
According to Sheqas Sheikh, the incident took place in one of Peshawar’s busy roads, where two vehicles intercepted the Sanam Javed car, adding that people dragged her out of the vehicle in front of her companions and forced her to enter her own cars before accelerating.
Waqas described the incident as an act of kidnapping and demanded its immediate release.
He said such actions are part of a continuous campaign of political victimization against leaders and workers of PTI.
On the other hand, the leadership and supporters of PTI in social networks asked how such an incident could occur under a government led by PTI in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and many demanded Prime Minister Ali Amin Gandapur intervene personally to guarantee their safe recovery and take those responsible to justice.
