Islamabad:
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has launched an initiative to improve the country’s weather forecasting and flood warning network.
The initiative titled ‘Modernization of Pakistan’s Hydromet Services (MHSP)’ has been launched under the World Bank-funded Integrated Flood Resilience Adaptation Project (IFRAP), a press release said.
The project aims to strengthen climate resilience by improving the PMD’s capacity to generate, interpret and disseminate reliable hydrometeorological information.
