According to a spokesperson of the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), the counters have been set up at the Pakistani embassies in Montreal and Vancouver in Canada, Milan in Italy, Manama in Bahrain and Amman in Jordan.

The spokesperson added that a counter in Rome will also come into operation soon.
NADRA, the official said, is continuously upgrading and digitizing its systems to improve service delivery. Overseas Pakistani citizens can also use the authority’s “Pak Identity” mobile application to process various identification services remotely, including online appointments and document renewal.

On the other hand, NADRA has recently introduced a series of reforms aimed at improving citizen services and data accuracy. On the directive of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the authority has made cancellation of CNIC after death free of charge, helping families avoid complications in matters of inheritance and pension claims.
The authority has also expanded its digital ecosystem through the โPak Identityโ mobile application, which allows citizens to renew identity cards, verify biometric data and access key services remotely. The app’s ‘Proof of Life’ feature, launched this year, allows pensioners facing fingerprint issues to check their status online without visiting NADRA offices.
